Islamic Jihad Leader Praises Iran’s Support for Palestinian Resistance

IQNA – The secretary general of the Palestinian resistance movement Islamic Jihad commended the Islamic Republic of Iran’s all-out support for the resistance of Palestine.

In remarks on Saturday, Ziyad al-Nakhalah said Iran has fully supported the Palestinian nation over the past decades and continues to back Palestinians, Al-Mayadeen reported.

He also referred to the Gaza ceasefire agreement between Palestinian resistance and the Israeli regime and said the resistance of the Palestinian nation was the main reason forcing the Zionists to accept the ceasefire.

The people of Palestine demonstrated unprecedented bravery and courage in the face of the Zionist regime’s atrocities and crimes, he stated.

Al-Nakhalah said now what is important is preserving nation unity and cohesion.

He also referred to the support for Palestine from resistance movements in Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq and said their support will never be forgotten.

The ceasefire deal took effect on Sunday noon, January 19.

It ends months of Israeli genocidal war on the Palestinian enclave that has killed nearly 47,000 people, mostly women and children and injured over 110,000 others.

Despite its atrocities, the Zionist regime achieved none of its goals in Gaza.
